Today I felt you in the wind,
Pushing my hair from my face.
You made me blush as you kissed my cheek
And I stepped to match your pace.
You kicked the leaves away playfully
As we wistfully ambled along.
I breathed in deeply to take in your scent
And thought that I heard our song.
I reached out my hand and waited
For your fingers to lace through,
Then tightened my grasp and imagined
That somehow you could feel me, too.
